Product Review: Speed Stick Power Deodorant

Going on a first date with a chick can be nerve racking, especially when the first date materializes on a whim at the prompting of your prospective lady, out of the blue. You’re not going to say no because your schedule is a little tight, are you? Shit no you’re not. You’ve been working this angle for some time now and the time is right.

So, after several sets of push-ups over a limited span of time to pump up my upper body prior to our meeting, I needed something else to really put me over the top; a secret weapon if you will. And I don’t mean an Ed Hardy shirt.

It was at this moment that I unsheathed my potential partner in grime: Speed Stick Power.

When tension rose like a cresting wave at high tide, then crashed upon the shore penetrating the sandy coast and punishing it into submission, I was dry.

James Bond ‘Skyfall’ Boosts Cut Throat Razor Sales By 405%

The Bluebeards Revenge

The latest James Bond movie, Skyfall, has not only been a massive box office hit, it has also inspired thousands of men to ditch the multi-bladed cartridge razor and go back in time. Leading British retailer The Shaving Shack has attributed the intimate shaving scene in Skyfall for a whopping 405% increase in sales of high end cut throat razors.

During a scene in Skyfall, British actress Naomie Harris gives 007, played by Daniel Craig, a close shave using a cut throat razor, whispering in his ear “sometimes the old ways are the best” as she performs the shave. And The Shaving Shack says this intimate shaving scene is the reason for the dramatic sales surge over the last five days.

Product Review: Proraso Shave Foam and Pre-Shave Cream

When I was a kid, it was easy to locate a barbershop thanks to the telltale barber’s pole located on the outside of each establishment. And I always wanted to crack that barber pole open and see what it felt like, it’s texture, assuming that its taste was not that far off from a peppermint.

Most barber poles are gone now, but the sentiment, style and quality of a bygone era is thankfully still maintained by the gents at Proraso

I really like the old school appearance and feel of Proraso. Don’t let the canister fool you – it isn’t the bland, “Brand X” canister you can get at any store for $5 dollars. This is like your grandfathers shaving cream: bold, full-bodied, and undaunted by the fact that it’s a legit, old school shaving cream in a time of gels and other gimmicks.
