No matter what Brian Wilson wants you to believe, summer is no time for a beard or a moustache. Is there a worse feeling than being stuck outside (working, gardening, drinking) in 98 degree heat being pelted by the merciless rays of the sun?
It’s amplified tenfold if you’re all bearded/goateed up because it absorbs all the sweat from your head and just SITS there. Beards are great for winter, especially if you think scarves are for girls/hipsters, and moustaches work in the fall. But in the summer, less is more. How else can you feel the soothing caress of your special lady’s hand on your face if it’s covered by facial hair? You can’t, so clean it up!
Still think it’s considered “questionable” for a man to care about the way his skin looks and feels? Venture out of your cave, man- it’s a new world. While there was definitely an era when it wasn’t considered “macho”, times have changed.
50% of all men’s grooming product purchases are now actually made by the men who use them, compared to 10 years ago when that number was roughly half. “If anything went beyond Old Spice, or if it got too poofy, you would kind of be laughed at. Now, there are so many products.”
Does your special lady complain that after a few kisses, her upper lip feels like it’s been exfoliated thanks to your vintage 70s style moustache? Maybe it’s time for a clean shave, fella. With that in mind, check out the shave products from Grooming Lounge.
What really made me fall in love with the product was how smooth and moisturized my skin still felt even two days later. Literally two full days later, I was sitting at my desk caressing my own face, longingly.
Talk about an awesome way to introduce your new business to the community. If you’re in Farmington Hills, MI on April 9th or 10th stop by Roosters Men’s Grooming Center and trade a rooster item (ie ceramic, picture, etc) for a free haircut and scalp massage($29).
“I see about 10 or 15 percent of people passing by who said they thought it was a chicken place,” says owner Amir Shahnazary. Amir said customers can keep the rooster they bring into the shop.
Roosters Men’s Grooming Center is located at 37619 W. Twelve Mile Road in Farmington Hills.

In an era where men’s body wash gels have taken over, Duke Cannon’s Big Ass Brick of Soap is truly that; it’s a big, green piece of soap that has a big “D” (imprinted on it, you perv) and weighs three-quarters of a pound.
Once Duke and I hit the shower after a long day at the orifice, Duke cleaned all my orifices in the most pleasing manners allowed by law. The soap also had these little yellow pieces of steel cut grains imbedded in it. Purportedly used for “maximum gripability,” they also worked to exfoliate and scrub dead skin from your body; you know, if you swing that way.
