      Cocktails for the historic “Home and Home” Tour

      Of all the concerts this summer, none could be hotter than Jay-Z and Eminem pairing up for the “Home and Home Tour” in the artists’ respective hometowns. To celebrate two of the greatest living rappers performing side by side, 1800 Tequila has put together two cocktails to sip in honor of this historic hip-hop milestone.

      EMINEM has sold more than 80,000,000 albums worldwide and won 11 Grammy Awards and an Academy Award. After 1999’s quintuple platinum The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP (2000) and The Eminem Show (2002) became two of the Top 5 best selling albums of the 2000s, with approximately 10,000,000 copies of each sold in the U.S. alone. 2004’s Grammy-nominated Encore reached #1 and was certified quadruple platinum. The #1, double platinum, 2005 greatest hits collection Curtain Call: The Hits and #2, platinum, 2006 various artists compilation Eminem Presents: The Re-Up followed. 2009’s Relapse, the #1-charting winner of the Best Rap Album Grammy was, at nearly double platinum, the best selling rap album of the year. “Not Afraid,” the first single off his upcoming Recovery album, was released two weeks ago and soared to #1 on the iTunes chart, and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

      JAY-Z is currently touring stadiums, arenas and festivals around the world in support of his latest #1 album, 2009’s Blueprint 3 (Roc Nation). Since 1996, 10-time Grammy award winner, Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter has dominated the rap industry and set trends for a generation. Now in 2010, he personifies the “American Dream.” Founder and chairman of Rocawear, he is also co-owner of the NJ Nets, 40/40 sportsclubs, Translation Advertising and Carol’s Daughter skin line, as well involved in a partnership with Iconix Brand Group. After three successful years as President and CEO of Def Jam Recordings, where he fostered the careers of international stars Rihanna, Ne-Yo and Kanye West, JAY-Z entered into a partnership with Live Nation to form Roc Nation. Through Roc Nation, JAY-Z released the Blueprint 3, his 11th #1 album, putting him ahead of Elvis for most #1 albums by any solo artist. He continues his philanthropic work through his Water For Live initiative and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.

      The “Menaissance” continues

      Monsieur Barber Shop.That’s right, we’re calling this the “Menaissance.” It’s the return to manly days of old, when men had places to go and just be men. The “Menaissance” continues with old school barbershops opening across the U.S. and Canada, as reported by the Toronto Star. My question is : Why did it take so long?

      The Monsieur Barber Shop in Toronto is the place guys can get a quality haircut, get a drink and watch a football game while shooting the breeze with others in this men’s only barbershop. You see, men can take care of themselves without softenining their image as a hot lather shave is attractive from the board room to the assembly line! Next time we’re in Toronto we hope to visit the Monsieur Barber Shop and Spa at 415 Bloor St. W.

      Rockport Wispen.Bullz-Eye had the chance to review another of Rockport’s offering of dress shoes, this time the Wispen. Rockport has made a name for itself by making dress shoes that look good and feel great, and the Wispen is no exception. The shoes take advantage of Rockport’s best design combined with the adidas adiPRENE technology to produce a shoe that’s as stylish as it is comfortable.

      The Wispen is straight to the point in its styling as its clean design is elegant and the full grain leather is easy to clean. These Rockports incorportate EVA adidas adiPRENE, which is a highly shock-absorbent cushioning that protects the heel at impact. They are among the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.

      Bullz-Eye reviews the Nissan Juke

      Nissan Juke.

      The Nissan Juke is one of those quirky-looking crossovers that still delivers a quality experience to almost any kind of driver. Bullz-Eye recently had a chance to test drive this strange little number, and came away fairly impressed.

      The most noteworthy feature was definitely the Integrated Control (I-CON) system which allows you to customize the vehicle’s performance for the needs of each individual driving experience.

      Nissan calls it the Integrated Control (I-CON) system drive mode selector, and the three settings offer three different throttle, transmission (CVT only) and steering response settings. The Normal setting is for everyday driving, Sport for a more intense performance feel, and Eco for maximum efficiency. We particularly enjoyed the Sport setting, as the performance was amped up considerably, and suspect many drivers will use this setting as often as possible. We drove it through urban areas and along winding country roads, and the JUKE performed nicely in the Sport mode in all of these environments. But the performance in the Eco setting wasn’t bad, so drivers can feel comfortable using it in traffic or on leisurely drives where quicker acceleration isn’t needed. It’s also a great option for anyone who wants to save on gas and live a greener lifestyle.
