Nissan 370Z reviewed at Bullz-Eye

Nissan 370z.It’s that time of year again, when all the guys are talking about the hot rides for the summer! Bullz-Eye.com wrote a review of the 2010 Nissan 370Z 40th Anniverasry Edition and this sounds like one cool machine.

A low muscular design with 19-inch wheels and tires with a special premium smoke wheel finish were welcomed with “oohs” and “aahs” on more than one occasion for the boys at Bullz-Eye during their time with the 370Z. The 3.7-liter VQ37VHR engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) is rated at 332 horsepower @ 7,000 rpm and 270 lb-ft of torque @ 5,200 rpm kept the 370Z moving fast and the handling tight especially around corners. Check out the full review on Bullz-Eye.com.

Justin Bieber “sucked it up” for his first tattoo

Justin Bieber getting a tattoo. It looks like Justin Bieber is trying to shed that girly image and get a little more punk. Pictures surfaced a while back of Bieber getting a tattoo in that manliest of places, the left hip. Okay, so none of this gets the guy stamp of approval, but at least Bieber wasn’t a bitch about it.

Brian Byrne, co-owner of Son of a Gun Tattoo in Toronto, said Bieber kept his cool under the needle. “It was a 16th birthday tattoo,” Byrne said. “I guess his dad has it, and one of his uncles. It’s the outline of the seagull from Jonathan Livingston Seagull.” Wow, that’s really…neat.

Byrne doesn’t often do tattoos on minors. In fact, he has pretty strict policies about it. “Our rule at the shop is: no necks, no hands, unless you’re over 25; and you don’t get tattooed at all unless you’re 18 years old.” If you have a parent present, he’s willing to bend the rules. It also helps if that parent is a childhood friend, as was the case with Justin.

Queen Latifah grew up above a barbershop in New Jersey

Rapper/actor Common and singer/actress Queen Latifah attend the premiere of “Just Wright” at Ziegfeld Theatre on May 4, 2010 in New York City.

Queen Latifah offered up an interesting tidbit about her life when discussing the new movie.

Queen Latifah isn’t just playing a Nets fan in the new film “Just Wright,” which opens Friday. The Newark native has been one all her life.

“I used to live over a barbershop when I moved to East Orange. It was called Modern Era Barbers,” says the rapper-singer-actress.

“And Darryl Dawkins, who used to play for the Nets — who was also the first person to shatter a backboard — used to come and get his hair cut there. So it was very exciting to see an NBA player come around the way to get his hair cut. When that white Mercedes pulled up right in front of my house, I knew he was downstairs. And he signed a poster for me. I had it on my wall growing up. So I’ve always been kind of a Nets fan.”

Will he stay or will he go? The LeBron James soap opera begins . . .

You can bet that LeBron James and his impending free agency will be a big topic of discussion all through the summer in barbershops around the country. This topic will get even more discussion in places like Cleveland, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami as their teams have a reasonable shot at landing the superstar.

Many Cleveland fans characterize it as a question of character.

John Paulsen explains that leaving, like quitting, will be the easy thing for LeBron to do. There are also some bizarre rumors flying around.

Bill Simmons goes on a typical rant.

Kelly Dwyer let’s LeBron have it.

The Gordon Gekko look will be back soon

Michael Douglas had one of the more memorable hairstyles in movie history when he sported the slicked-back look in “Wall Street” back in 1987. Well, get ready for that look again, as Douglas reprises his role as Gordon Gekko in the sequel that just premiered at Cannes.

It doesn’t look like he wears it through the whole movie however. Here’s the trailer.

You can bet this film will start some barbershop discussions!
