Jamie Kennedy goes balls out at his ‘Uncomfortable’ premiere party

Jamie Kennedy at the Uncomfortable premiere.

Jamie Kennedy is one of few comedians who can say he’s remained relevant throughout his career. He’s worked in film, made some pretty movies actually, and now he’s got an hour-long comedy special on Showtime.

Kennedy hosted a party this past weekend for his special, which is called “Uncomfortable,” at Drai’s in West Hollywood. The guest list included Jessica Lowndes, Jason Wahler, Stephanie Pratt, Dave Navarro, and others. For a full gallery of the event, head over to the Bullz-Eye Blog.

Bullz-Eye reviews the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Ford Fiesta review from Bullz-Eye.com

Bullz-Eye has another great car review up, this time covering the 2011 Ford Fiesta. The subcompact market hasn’t exactly been the backbone of the American auto industry, but as environmental awareness continues to grow and consumers are ever more frugal, you can bet you’ll see subcompacts dominating even American business.

Ford’s Fiesta is one of the early entries from the big three, and it points the market segment in a hopeful direction. This car sounds like the little car that could – it has a nice list of amenities but remains economical enough that you won’t feel as though you’re bleeding money when you drive.

A Bullz-Eye staff member had this to say:

The Fiesta we tested had a 1.6 liter Duratech 5-speed manual transmission. It didn’t blow me away with any kind of power but I didn’t expect that from the subcompact. There has been plenty of emphasis on gas mileage in this segment and, in mostly city driving, we averaged around 34 mpg. If you spend most of your time on the highway in the Fiesta, you can expect to hit the 40mpg mark – that is without a hybrid engine or electric surcharge!

The steering was very precise and handling around corners was much better than I have experienced in other subcompacts. The 5-speed had effortless shifting, again, much better than we’ve seen from more expensive nameplates.

Bullz-Eye hits the Jabbawockeez MÜS.I.C. premiere at Monte Carlo in Las Vegas

Jabbawockeez at the Monte Carlo.

If you missed the first season of America’s Best Dance Crew, you might have wondered who those creepy dudes in the white masks were in that one mysterious Gatorade commercial. No? Okay, that was just me. However you heard about them, you’ve probably been amazed by a JabbaWockeeZ performance. The dance crew is an incredible group of entertainers, and Bullz-Eye had the chance to attend the premiere of “MÜS.I.C.” at the Monte Carlo.

Here are some impressions of the event:

We were then ushered in to excellent seats and enjoyed heart throbbing music to some of the funkiest and well choreographed breaking and popping one could imagine! The performance kept me riveted and I really enjoyed the stories told through dance and dynamic teamwork the Jabbawockeez displayed through some very difficult stunts. There is also a certain mystery that surrounds the show as all cast members wear the same white mask. The performance leaves you with the illusion that the expressions change on the faces of the masks. The Jabbawockeez team sinks or swims with each other as they are nameless and faceless until the show is complete. Whether you are a hip hop fan or just someone who enjoys a great show, Jabbawockeez MÜS.I.C. will entertain and amaze you and have you feeling energized for more Monte Carlo fun!

Bullz-Eye reviews the 2011 Lincoln MKS

Lincoln MKS review banner.

The 2011 Lincoln MKS is part of Lincoln’s newest plan to regain a seat atop the American luxury market. It’s a solid bid for the throne, loaded up with features you expect in much more expensive luxury cars. It doesn’t have the feel of pretending to the crown, it proves to the driver that it deserves the crown, and does so while still being fun to drive.

Bullz-Eye had this to say about the car’s performance:

The Ecoboost engine has been a huge winner for Ford and Lincoln as it continues to get rave reviews. For the MKS, the new engine takes the vehicle from an above-average powered sedan to “Oh My!” This 3.5 liter twin turbo charged direct injection V6 with six-speed with select shift put out some serious power that rivals many sports cars on the road. The biggest difference is the smooth take off in the MKS Ecoboost while the four-wheel disc brakes with ABS made it easy to slow down when needed. When cruising on the highway and you need to pass or make a move, you are flying just like that. This turbo engine is awesome! Since the MKS is quite large, the gas mileage isn’t off the charts at 17mpg city and 25mpg highway but hey, when you’re laying down over $50K, a few miles here or there shouldn’t influence your decision as the driving experience matters much more. That said, the gas mileage is solid given the performance. When the winter months roll in, the all-wheel drive on the MKS we drove provides an invaluable feature for anyone living in colder climates.

Pete’s BarberShop is “Real Old School”

Pete Kithas in his barber shop. How many people can go to work at the same place for almost 50 years and still love it? Pete Kithas is one of those lucky ones who can say he’s right were he wants to be everyday he goes to his shop. It also looks like Pete’s Barber Shop is about as Old School as you’re going to find as most of us have never been out to get a cut at a man cave like Pete’s.

From the MetroTimes:

The shop leaves little doubt this is a hangout for the boys. The reading material is the type nobody actually reads: magazines like Penthouse and Playboy and Maxim. The language is locker room. The humor is raunchy.

“It’s an old-fashioned barbershop — no kids, no woman, just man,” the boisterous 79-year-old Kithas says in his still-thick Greek accent. “Lots of policemens.”

Finding him isn’t easy. His shop is on a second floor, up a tall staircase and down a long aisle that runs through Metropolitan Uniform, an 85-year-old police uniform and equipment supply store. There’s no door between the two businesses, no wall either. Take two steps and you’re out of one place and inside the other. And since the cops shopping for new uniforms find themselves feet away from a barbershop, many have become regulars here.

“You see now, you see those guys, we bullshit a lot,” Pete says of the coarse give-and-take. “I come here, I make some money. I have a lot of fun. All my customers over the years are all my friends.”

Sounds like my kind of barber shop!
